This recent commission of a mountain goat was an absolute pleasure to work on, drawing inspiration from both a local billy and some of the wonderful regimental goats of the Royal Welsh found on the Great Orme in Conwy county. The distinct challenge with this piece was trying to find the balance between suggesting the fur of a mountain goat with carefully shaped and placed steel and not trying to too hard to produce each strand of hair!
